Bottom line: For UAE importers, the real logic is not “more Chinese cars is better” but a two-lane choice by local conditions: Dubai fuel is about AED 2.6/L and public fast charging stays sparse, so long-range hybrids and EV SUVs serve two very different buyers. Mixing them in one purchase list hurts inventory and turnaround.
Start with long-range hybrids: Geely Galaxy A7 EM-i is a PHEV sedan with about 2,100 km CLTC range and a 1.5L hybrid system that makes commuting cheap; Dongfeng Warrior M817 is a 687 hp hardcore hybrid off-roader priced CNY 329,900–359,900 in China, built for desert weekends and long highways.
Then EV SUVs: OMODA E5 carries a 61 kWh pack, ~430 km CLTC, 0–100 km/h in 7.2 s; Deepal L07 is a fastback EV with 66.8 kWh, 540 km NEDC and 30–80% DC charge in ~35 min.
The real impact is the mix: Dubai and Abu Dhabi charger-friendly buyers justify OMODA E5 and Deepal L07; Ajman, inland towns and off-road fans prefer Warrior M817 hybrids. Do not make pure EV the only main line — local fast-charge density is about 1/5 of China's, so cap EV at 30%–40% of stock and let hybrids cover the rest.
Split the order by city: ask the supplier for GCC/SABER certificates and left/right-hand config; size EV buys after the home-vs-public charge ratio
